If you are a Funeral Director, a separate version of our terms and conditions will be provided to you upon registration. By accessing the website, you are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions.

We do not accept any responsibility for your inability to access our website, no matter how caused, furthermore, we do not accept any responsibility for the functionality of any webcam links to funeral services which were included by a funeral director as part of a death notice.

Our website is intended for the listing and publication of Death Notices and other notices in relation to the death of an individual. You should only post notices and condolence messages that are respectful, appropriately worded and not give rise to the potential to cause offence or upset to others.
Funeral Directors will have the authority and ability to remove notices that are deemed to be offensive, defamatory, blasphemous, unlawful, cause offence or upset to others or fall outside generally accepted standards. Any photographs, images or logos that have been uploaded to our website must be appropriate and not give rise to the potential to cause offence or upset to any party. Funeral Directors have the discretion to moderate any text, photographs, images and logo’s which have been submitted to the for inclusion on a Death Notice/Family Notice.
AtRest.ie reserves the right to further moderate on any photographs, images, and logo’s and to remove any that deemed to fall outside acceptable standards likely to cause offence or upset to others. A bereaved family can request that a condolence message be removed from their family members death notice without the need to provide a reason. We will accept absolutely no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury arising from any information which was published on AtRest.ie
Information contained in a death notice or any other notice posted on our website must be accurate and be reflective of the actual arrangements that are in place. In circumstances where arrangement have changed the death notice must be updated as soon as possible. AtRest.ie accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of any information contained in a notice posted on our website.
In order to access some of the features on our website we have a requirement for you to register as a member of our website. You will be required to provide some personal data in order to create your account. It is your responsibility to ensure that any usernames and passwords are kept securely by you. We reserve the right to cancel or restrict your access to the Members area as we deem appropriate.
We offer services on our website for which a fee is payable, to avail of a paid service you must firstly register in the Members area. The fees quoted for each service include VAT at the prevailing rate for such service. We can only accept payments by Credit/Debit card. Receipts for fees paid will be emailed to you as soon as your order has been processed. No refunds of fees will be made in circumstances where a notice which has been placed on our website and subsequently removed due to its failure to comply with our terms and conditions regarding the posting of notices, these terms and conditions are that a notice cannot be deemed to be offensive, defamatory, blasphemous, unlawful, or likely to cause offence or upset to others or fall outside generally accepted standards.
We host advertising by third party vendors and service providers on our website. If you engage the services of the vendors or service providers via a link from an advertisement on our site or otherwise, please note that you are not purchasing a product or service from AtRest.ie. Your contract is solely with the individual vendor/service provider. AtRest.ie accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any business arrangement that you have entered into with any company or individual who’s advertisement was hosted on our website. We will not enter into any communications relating to the provision or non-provision of products or services, or be party to any dispute you may have with a vendor or service provider who’s advertisement was hosted on our website.
We may occasionally have a requirement to suspend access to our website to carry our essential maintenance, we will endeavour to limit the duration of any interruption of service.
In the event where our website has been the target of actions by actors with malicious intent, access to AtRest.ie may be interrupted. We will endeavour to restore access to our website as soon as the threat has been removed. We will not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to any third party due to the actions of malicious third parties who gained unauthorised access to our website.
The courts of the Republic of Ireland will have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal action or claim relating to our website and business.
